is a dragon
you are a knight
with a cattail lance,
with a lily pad
Beautiful! Inspires me to put to poetry some of my granchildrens moments!💕

Thank you. I have a whole list of quotes I’ve overheard the kids in my life say that will eventually inspire other poems. They’re magic.
This short poem was everything. ❤️
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Wonderfully visual Carolin.
Thank you. The young redhead is often an inspiration.
Delightful childhood image, portending moral battles to come.
Thank you. I think this young one has a strong sense of fairness; I look forward to seeing how he faces the dragons of adulthood. (But I’m in no hurry for him to get there.)
So very, very gorgeously written
Thank you! And thanks for reading.
It has been a real pleasure I love the words you use, spectacular ♡
Just discovered you on Charles Martin’s site. (Seattle is also my home town.) Really enjoying your poetry and looking forward to more.
Thank you fellow Seattleite for letting me know how you stumbled into my blog; I always wonder how people end up here.
I always wonder that too.
(After a long lifetime in the Seattle area we just recently moved 130 miles south, so technically am not a current Seattleite – but I’ll always consider it home. Was born there and lived in the area 70 years. Miss it so much!)
I’ve started reading through your poems as well, quite enjoyable, but a red-headed boy is looking for company. Will read more later.
