I kept always two books in my pocket, one to read, one to write in.

It’s one fine thing that the great writers always do. Too bad my pants’ pockets are a little too small. I, however, always carry a sheet of paper and a pen with myself (just in case I stumble into something exceptional on the way). Thank you for the post, it’s inspiring.
I like to travel light, but rarely do. A messenger back or purse or some such thing is always hanging on my shoulder when I’m away from home, so I always have a notebook with me, and lots of pencils! But whatever works. Even a paper napkin will do in a pinch to capture an ethereal idea before it drifts off in the breeze, tumbled with the autumn leaves.
Glad to offer a little inspiration. 🙂
